Emsworth Show now – Monday 28th August 2017, Jubilee Recreation Ground, Horndean Road 10.30am to 1700. Park and Ride from New Life Church, Thorney Road.Arena events include the ever popular Quack Pack: Duck herding using a team of border collies and comical Indian Runner Ducks. The shepherds skillfully instructs the dogs who move the ducks around thearena. Great fun to watch. Homested Dog Agility, Ferret racing and Falconry displays. Lots of other enter-tainment can be found around the ground such as the ukulele playing Pompey Pluckers, Alder Valley Brass, demonstrations of football and karate,and displays of dancing by Fishbourne Mill Morris and Melana Dance School .There will be a huge variety of stalls, refreshments and side shows, a Fun Dog Show, a Fur and Feather Marquee, vintage cars and cycles andmany activities for children.The core of the Show is the Exhibition Marquee where the vegetable, flower, fruit, photog-raphy, domestic, handicraft and photography exhibits are staged. Why nothave a go? If you haven’t entered a competition before there are classes for novices, and there is a separate section for children 13 years and un-der.
